    Description

    Clear image of the French Line's flagship of the 1950's, the S.S. LIBERTE as she appeared in the final years of her career with greatly heightened funnels. Commissioned by the North German Lloyd as the EUROPA, she was briefly the fastest ship on the North Atlantic, holder of the Blue Riband in the early 1930's. She was ceded to France as reparation for the loss of the NORMANDIE after World War II. Scrapped in the early 1960's.
